I've been thinking about getting one of the above mentioned to help speed up some of my case prep since my daughter will soon join me in shooting F-Class. With me shooting at least once if not twice a month, and her joining me, that'll be a lot of brass to prep every month.

So I want to hear from owners of the Lyman Case Prep center. I want to know the good, bad and ugly of it so I can make an informed decision.

I've had one now for approxmently 18 months.

Basically used for pistol cases because that's what I shoot the most (9mm-Luger & 45ACP). On occasion rifle cases. One requires a certain amount of dexterity and finger strength (normal/average) for holding the case from spinning which occurs if/with to much down force being applied.

I'm satisfied overall with it.

I like mine . The only tool that doesn't work very well is the military crimp remover .

Had mine about a year, love it. Quieter than the RCBS, more torque than the Hornady, keep your eyes open for sales, got mine for just $99.00 when it was first introduced.

One gadget that I was glad i bought. Saves my wrists from the chamfering and deburring. It wasn't as quick as I thought it would be but spins well enough. Since the primer uniformer is there then I go ahead and use it . Im glad I bought it.

It isn't a fault of the system, just the Lyman tool head. I tried the Lyman head on my FA Case Prep Center and also found it it didn't work well. I then replaced it with the RCBS primer pocket reamer and it works very well. I think it was about $15 on Amazon.

I did the same thing .

I purchased mine to get rid of crimped primer pockets on 5.56 brass, it works fine.

jwrowland77,

The Lyman Case Prep Center comes with a primer pocket uniformer, primer pocket cleaner, Primer pocket crimp remover, inside deburrer/chamferer, outside deburrer/chamferer, and brushes. Everything works well except the large primer pocket crimp remover (the one for small primer pocket crimps works better since there is less material to remove).

Gotcha. Thank ya sir

I remember reading that now. My painkillers have gotten the best of me today. Got a front moving through, and had to take a extra half dose due to pain.

Ok, JW!

You watched my post about buying my Auto Charge and got a good deal on one from where I bought mine.

I'm watching your post this time. Yea, maybe for Christmas! But I know you cheat. Have you found a good deal on one?

LOL. Too funny. I did find a good deal on the Auto Charge. Lol.

I'm thinking about trying to see if it'll go on sale after Thanksgiving on Cyber Monday. I need to buy a new stock for my competition rifle, so I'm thinking hard between it and the prep.
