Anyone have experience using the Lyman Micro-Touch electronic powder scale 1500. Midway has it on sale for $48.

The Lyman is my "upstairs" scale for everything from powder to cast bullets for uniformity.

No problems at all.

The Lyman 1500 scale is my "go to" scale. It has sat on my reloading bench for about 5 years and it works great. I test it with check weights regularly, and it maintains accuracy. Under $50.00 is a good price, IMHO. Best wishes

I recently purchased one that failed after 2 hours. Replacement (same item) also failed . My first scale failure in 8 years of reloading. Guess I just bought into a bad lot, or there was shipment damage. I use several other Lyman items, with excellent results.

I have been using one for about 6 years and it works great. I have checked it with a RCBS beam scale and they always read the same.

Mine is perfect, and reliable. I use it with the AC adapter. Had a problem with it a couple weeks ago:

It started acting really weird. The readout was very inconsistent. Would turn off when I tried to put it into the checkweight mode. Then I remembered that I had put batteries in it when I first bought it. I looked, and they were corroded. Probably messed up the voltage level somehow. I cleaned out the battery compartment and put in new batteries. Worked perfectly right away. Now it's good for another seven years,
