I have a T-Mag II that is only a few months old. It's built like a tank, except for the priming arm which broke today. I emailed Lyman and am waiting to hear back if they will send me a replacement. I'm curious to hear if any of you have dealt with Lyman on any issues like this and your results were. Also, does anyone with a T-Mag II know of any other priming arm that's maybe built a little better that would work on the T-Mag II. I have an RCBS hand primer that I can use for now, but I really like the speed of priming on press.

Got a Lyman Universal trimmer for Christmas and the cam lock fingers wore and rounded and wouldn't grip the case. E-mailed them and received a reply the next day saying they would send new ones. Got them in 3 days and they are a new improved version.

Lyman emailed me back. They are going to replace it as long as I send the broken one to them first. I think this is reasonable. I would have preferred that they sent the replacement first, but today I bought an RCBS universal priming arm that looked about the same size/shape as the Lyman and it fits my press and does the job. It also has primer plugs that are threaded rather than using a set screw. I think the set screw is what caused the Lyman to fail in the first place. So I will send the broken one in to them and when they replace it I will keep it as a spare (or maybe use one for Large Primers and one for small primers).

If you would have called them rather than emailing them, they would have likely just sent the new one and told you to throw away the broken one.

I was thinking the same thing. When I have warranty issues with anyone, I almost always call rather than email.
