will a 110 v-max bullet fit in the magazine of an m-1 carbine, and still allow for proper seating (crimping)? how's feeding? suggested powders?

I have never heard of anyone having good results with this bullet in the carbine. Stick with 110 grain FMJ or round nose soft point in the 110 grain, these will feed better. I think you will find at carbine velocities the V-Max does not perform like you would expect. The 90 grain Hornady XTP might be a better option for you if it will feed reliably in your carbine.

A really great bullet is the Hornady 100 grain Half Jacket with 2400
powder at around 2000fps Accurate and dissolves jack rabbits and
coyotes. There is also a 100 grain Speer Plinker, but the Hornady is
more accurate in my Winey Carbine ! Great stuff that I also loaded in
an O3 A3 30-06, but with a different powder (4759)

If you use half-jackets in the M-1 Carbine, watch out for leading in the gas piston.
It can happen!
