Has anyone used the M-carbo axis trigger upgrade? Looking to upgrade the trigger in my granddaughters deer rifle. Don't need a 2 pound trigger but this thing has a 7-8 # pull now. First time I shot it thought the safety was stuck on.

Yeah I have used it a couple of times both times it noticeably improved the trigger I didn’t use the shims though

I used a M-Carbo spring kit in a 243win Savage Axis. The gun had a lot of potential. The kit cleaned up the tigger in addition to making it a little lighter.
My 82 year old Dad used the rifle for last deer season instead of his 30-06. When we took the rifle to the range he shot a real tight group. He had a huge smile when he saw the group. He said, I didn't think that I could still shoot that well. By the way less than 1" with Remington 100gr CORE-LOKs.

Have you ordered the kit yet:D

Id personally call the kit very acceptable and worth the expense. If all your looking for is a pull weight reduction then it will get you there. Pair it with some judicious polishing, and they trigger can be made quite nice.

Ive bought some of there other stuff, and generally thats my feeling on what they sell. iIts not "great" but its good, and a good price. Add your own elbow grease and your really getting somewhere.....course with a decent small spring kit and some shims and screws, you can usually put together a similar "kit" for about 1/3-1/2 the cost.

I have a MCarbo spring kit in my Axis, great product that brought the trigger pull down to about 2.5 lbs. I also used the shims to get rid of the side-to-side play. I seem to remember it costing less than $30 shipped. A great bargain!
