I picked up a S&W Ladysmith in 22 long. 2nd model,I think. It needs some work done on it. The cylinder doesn't turn in sa and da. The trigger will not return either. Does anyone know a smith that works on these?

Lockwork is the same as pre-safety S&W. I bet it needs detailed disassembling and thorough cleaning.

I would try to find a local one if there are any you would trust it with, I say that as with the new shipping policies it will likely cost you around $100 to ship it out. Around $40 for them to ship it back.

Now, if you think it needs more than a cleaning, I would consider shipping it out. Have you pinged S&W to see if they will look at it? They likely won't have parts for something that old but may be happy to clean it if that is all it needs.

I know one fellow I'd trust in Southern Indiana. He may be w/in driving distance; depending on where you are in Kentucky

Outside of your listed issues, what condition is your revolver in? A pic might help. My guess is an M-frame which would be early 1900s. These are scarce. You really need someone well versed in the .22. Ladysmith or Lady Smith - spelling dependent on year.

I’ve dealt w/ Numrich Arms for a long time finding hard-to-find parts - 866 486 7278. Not gunsmiths although they maybe able to give you a lead or a schematic. I looked for a schematic on their site w/o any luck, but who knows what they have tucked away after many years in business.

The cylinder hand and/or connecting parts has to be involved.

Heck, call Smith and Wesson.
