M&P 15-22 mag question

My MP 15-22 came with one 30rd mag. I know there is a 10 round mag available from S&W but I am wondering if there is another smaller capacity mag that will work in the 15-22 that might be a little cheaper than the S&W one. I'm only looking for the lesser capacity because it's difficult to shoot it from a bench with the 30rd mag getting in the way.

44mag.com has a number of S&W magazines for good prices. Primary Arms, and any other magazine seller carries 15-22 magazines, since it is a pretty popular rifle.

You can try the 10 round magazines, they should work quite a lot better during bench shooting. Just be very sure you get the 10 round short magazines, as there is a 10 round staked or blocked magazines that are a 25 round magazine with a non-removable rod keeping the follower from depressing lower then 10 bullets.

Yours came with a 30 round mag? I thought out of the box it was 25 rounds, but maybe I am wrong.
I was looking into buying a 10 rounder (the shorter model) for exactly the same reason.

my 10 rounder is the same size as my 25 but just has a stop in it.

Mine is probably 25. It has been a while since I shot it, I can't remember.

I picked up a couple of the short length 10 round mags from 44mag.com last year. They work great on the bench. Their current price is what I paid about a year ago.
