My local Gander Mt. has a few Smith and Wesson M&P 15's for sale for $799. Do you guys think it's worth buying? I want an AR with a 16" barrel but also wanted it to have a Wylde chamber. Thanks gents.

Which model MP 15 is it? Ive got the MP 15a with troy rear flip up sight and ive put a magpul moe handguard with the rvg forward grip made for the moe handguards (very sturdy and price effective feels great) and have a magpul ctr stock on it with a eotech mounted on the flat rail on top. Ive got one that was entirely made by smith and wesson a couple of years back and i love the hell out of it. Much higher quality than the Shrubmaster i own and is neck and shoulders above stag arms, dpms, shrubmaster, and def olympic. If you want a great ar-15 without going the LMT, Noveske, Sabre, etc price range then you should get the smith. I cant stress enough how much i love the smith and im not a huge smith and wesson fan unless its their wheel guns.

Well I saw it earlier today on their website but it must have been taken down. The magazine ad says "M&P 15 Optics Ready Semi Auto Rifle" $799 save $300. I also found out that it's on impactguns.com for the same price and the description says it can fire 5.56mm and .223.

Just picked up a M&P MOE for $799 myself. It was slightly used (95% new condition inside and out), and in my opinion, well worth the price. I can't wait to put a couple thousand rounds through it.

I was in Gander Mtn in Jackson, TN on Saturday and the guy told me that to get the full Sale Price, part of it was a $100 mail in rebate OR, you could send off for 5 Magpull Mags instead of the $100 rebate...

I have an M&P15T with the Troy free float rail and Troy BUIS. It is an excellent accurate and unpicky reliable rifle. Well recommended, as the others have said the CDNN deal is by faris the best one out there....wish it would have been around when I bought mine.

Re rebates, the 5 free mail in PMag deal ended at the end of May, to be immediately replace with the $100 mail in rebate which is current now on all new Smith and Wesson M&P15s, no matter where you buy them from.

Not a bad deal, heres another

AIM Surplus has Spikes uppers complete for $480 add that to a $225 lower and you have a great rifle under $725. Plus no sales tax on the upper.

I bought a one at Bud's about 6 months ago for $699 but traded it off.

$799 is not a good deal.
