the Gun craze in in full motion if they can sell at that price. I almost bought an AR-15 for $900 or $1000 for adjustable stock at a gun show. 3 year warranty. I must not have wanted it that bad even knowing I should have been preparing since 1991. Obama may be the best salesman but he's the worst Indoneshian to become an American President.
S&W MP15 rifles seem to have pretty decent reviews. You have to ask yourself if you really want it. I would imagine that if you shopped around you might find them in the $1200 neighborhood. I don't see prices going up w/o some major legislation but I don't see them going down either.
I just did a quick search and found at least 4 M&P rifles in .223 for between $945 and $1225 on gunsamerica.com Also, the correct model # for a M&P 15A is 811000. I picked up a 15X (#811008) a few days after the election. M&P rifles are very well built, you'll like it, but find a better price.
In today's market it is not unreasonable. The S&W M&P15 line is regarded superior to BM, RRA, DPMS, OLY and others. If memory serves me right, it is one of the few ARs with a genuine mil-spec BCG. You could do a lot worse than picking up a M&P15. Try to find one under $1300. Good luck.
