I have not considered the M&P yet.
One of the main features I like about Glocks, is the fact that I have little money. So, when my guns break down (very rare) I like to be able to fix them myself.

I had a G22 locking block break and I ordered the part from the internet and had it fixed myself in 3 days. Easy, peesy.

I was MidwayUSA tonight and notice that the M&P now has many parts available to purchase. Is the M&P as easy to work on as the Glocks?

I actually like the grip and beavertail of the M&P over the Glocks.

Any experience with working on these guns?

Thanks for your time

Here's a video of a complete disassembly, so you should be able to judge how hard it will be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBIVbPP1CLI

I've done a sear replacement on mine (Apex Tactical sear, great add-on for the M&P), and it was quick and easy to do. All I needed was a 1/8" punch. AGI also has a full M&P armorer's DVD you can buy too. With how good S&W's service is, I don't see why you wouldn't want to just send a pistol back to them for repair. They pay shipping both ways, and from most of the reports I've seen, the service is pretty speedy.

Very easy to strip and work on.

More and more parts are coming on the market and IMO they will continue to do so. M&P's are really picking up momentum and rightfully so IMO. They are very comfortable and IMO they just look and feel far more sleek than a Sig or Glock

The finish is fantastic and its a nice middle ground between Tennifer (best thing about glock IMO) and the XD's Melonite which is kinda chalky IMO..

Really consider the M&P, its a fantastic firearm.

They are easy to work on. I did a trigger job on mine and was straight forward. The M&P is an excellent pistol.
