M1 carbine bolt replacement

I have A universal M1 carbine - I need to replace the bolt it is A round top- I ordered A inland bolt- all looks the same except the tang on the firing pin on the inland - if I remove the tang will it work ?---also the firing pin on the inland bolt is not spring loaded like on the universal bolt

The tang on the firing pin is designed to keep the carbine from being fired out of battery.Your commercial receiver may not be machined to work with it.

Thank you Ken --Im going to try it anyhow and see how it works will let you'll know it comes out----------Also I have A Winchester M1 carbine for sale serial #1105822 ( yes it has all matching # all over it and all the Ws are there ) for sale

Well I did it---Took the bolt apart----cut the tang off and also modified the firing pin so it is spring loaded ---put it in the carbine and cked the head space --works just fine
