Finally got a chance to put some rounds through my NIB SWD built Texas M10/9 SMG. Put 250 rounds through it. It gobbled up UMC and Wolf 115gr equally well.

I did some 25-30 round mag dumps, semi-auto shots, and 3-5 round bursts and it worked pretty well. It would jam on the 2nd to last round in the mag consistently, so I might have to get some new springs. The recoil on this little gun is not bad if the shoulder stock is used. Don't think I could hit anything past 10 or 15 yards though, the open bolt gun tends to lurch downwards as you pull the trigger.

I also tried the gun with the stock folded and all I can say is VPC and Brady is full of sh*t. Deadly spray firing from the hip my ass, I couldn't control the thing and it almost got away from me. Let's just say Lane 4 at the local gun range no longer has any fluorescent lighting. :uhoh:

Hopefully some of the small quirks like the 2nd to last round jamming will work themselves out as the gun breaks in. I'm glad I got it, shooting rental SMGs is fun, but shooting your own MG is a whole different feeling. :D

I'm gonna need more ammo... :p

What other economical MGs are still out there aside from the M10/11? Stuff that can be found for between $2000-$3000 like the M10/11.

There isn't much. Even Stens are going for around $3000 now. I've seen Stens, Reisings, and those Swedish K clones for around $3500. I wish I had been able to jump on the MG boat when these MACs were $750 and M16s were $2000. :(
