A few days ago, I bought a new Springfield Armory Micro Compact .45.

I took it out to the range yesterday for a short time, here's what happened:
I only had half an hour to shoot, so I only brought 150 rounds of FMJ. (100 PMC 230 gr. and 50 Winchester White Box 230 gr.)
I cleaned the pistol before leaving for the range and lubed it at the range just before firing. The first 50 rounds of PMC 230 gr. FMJ were perfect. No problems. The gun seemed to shoot a little low, but that got better the more I got used to the gun.
After 50 flawless rounds of PMC, I field stripped the gun and cleaned the excess gunk from the rails and from the feed ramp, and inspected it for any unusual wear or damage. Everything looked fine, so I lubed it and prepared to try some Winchester White Box.
I loaded both mags with Winchester White Box (WWB) 230 gr. FMJ. The very first round jammed!
The just fired case was sticking halfway out of the chamber and the next round in the magazine was jammed under the empty case as it tried to enter the chamber.
I cleared the jam, tried again, and the next round jammed the exact same way. Cleared the jam, tried again and got 2 shots off before the exact same jam happened again.
The second magazine also had 3 jams of the exact same type. All the rounds I loaded one at a time from the magazine fired and ejected fine. After 15 rounds of WWB, I decided to put that ammo away and go back to PMC.
The little gun fired the next 50 rounds of PMC with no problems of any kind.
Conclusion: My gun does NOT like Winchester White Box ammo at all.
I was surprised how comfortable this gun was to shoot. Not too much recoil, very controllable and nice to shoot.
Recently, I got a Glock 36 and I didn't find it unpleasant to shoot, but not nice either. Definately much more harsh than the Micro Compact 1911.
Overall, I was very pleased with the little SA Micro.
Anyone else have problems with WWB ammo in a SA 1911?
