M16-A1 style Dissipator? Terrible idea?

Zombie threads, gotta love 'em

It's funny, we get onto people for not using the search function but when they do it results in lots of zombie threads.

I would prefer the rifle length gas with the 16" bbl over a carbine length gas dissipator setup. Having said that I would prefer to start with a govt. profile 1:7 bbl.
