I'm working on a 3D modeling project, one the items I'm doing an ultra-high detailed versions of the M1911. I was wondering if some of the history-buffs on here could tell me I've got the correct (or close to correct) markings. I cannot use real gun companies or I will be eaten by copyright issues . BTW these models are for a video game, some of the markings are related to the game's fiction so not everything will look 'right.'
I'm posting images of the 2D prototypes for what will be the final, textured markings. Thanks. PS: Anything in Helvetica is will not be in the final model.
M1911: Lend Lease Act, Given to Russia. c. 1940
M1911 10mm Caliber (Inspired by the Colt Delta Elite)
Thanks again all. I hope to show you the completed models one day.
