Thanks. I just put an Eotech on last night. I haven't had a chance to shoot it in yet. After adjusting the reticle to point of aim using my Arms #40 A2 BUIS, then looking through the optic with the Arms lowered, I realized that my natural eye level put the reticle square on the bottom of the front sight blade. If I raised my eye about .5 inch the reticle floats right above the top of the front blade. I played around with this and found if I just shifted my cheek against the butt the reticle was perfect, so I am going to practice this and forget about the cheek pad, which sounds like a P.I.T.A.
