Helllo. I have a DPMS M4..stock with regular handguards. I am planning to change the handguard to one that has rails so as to atttach a foregrip. I saw this item online - http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ARR051-7.html

It seems to have an attachment for and aft of the railing. Are these attachments to regular handguards with no rails?

Thanks for your responses.

Yes. There is a nutplate that goes inside the handguard to receive the screws for mounting.

Be aware that these end up pretty flimsy since they are just mounted to a plastic handguard. I tried one similar and junked it in short order.

The Magpul MOE handguards are like 30 bucks and are liked by everyone I have met tha uses them.

Looks like it'll only work with a single heat shield handguard. And as mentioned, you can expect it to be very flimsy.

Let's just say you get what you pay for. That thing will be good for a grip or a flashlight, as long as you never drop your rifle or bang it into anything, and as long as you don't pull on the grip too hard.
