Ar Pistol handguard question

Building a pistol AR and have a question on the following item for the handguard. Would it be a no-no (in the eyes of the ATF) to install this item on the 4 rail handguard?

It's been said that items like that one that just act as a finger stop are fine, but if you have any doubts I would write the ATF and get confirmation in writing

You are fine -- hand stops are good to go legally. Even the Magpul angled foregrip is considered a hand stop by the ATF.

I've put the Magpul XMT handstop on my Sig M400 AR pistol. Would've gotten the angled grip but salesman in LGS said they were not legal.

Angled fore grips are ok. Look at question #7 in the letter in the following link.
