Well, here it is:
My m44 with the cracked stock: (you can't see the damage in this pic, but you can see how dirty and nasty it looks.)
The stock was practically falling apart. It's safely packed away right now until I figure out how to stop the rotting... LOL
and after I bought a scratched beater and refinished it. Still to do: touch up the bluing on some spots, recrown the barrel, install new sling mounts.
I filled the sling holes, but it looked like crap, so I dug it out and started over.
Anyways, I'm no Oleg, i wish I was, but here they are.
Oleg, if you need subjects in SoCal, let me know. This rifle looks MUCH more beautiful in person. HAHA

EDITED: attaching the pics... will be my next post
BTW: any suggestions for touching up the bluing? also, my 91/30 has a bolt that's not blued... did they just stick it on a cotton buffing wheel? cuz if so, I'd like to do that as well. it's VERY nice looking with such a light colored stock.
