Have some friends who are big into SOCOM US Navy SEALS. After some research I am left with the following query. Does the M87 ELR, a .50 sniper rifle really exist?

A web search will find Rock exchanging posts about the gun and scope problems.

    MCMILLAN M87
    The McMillan M87 ....

    MCMILLAN M87R
The McMillan M87R is a repeating five round magazine version of the McMillan M87 sniping rifle.

IIRC 87 started as a year and not an official designation - no idea what Teams may call it or where it might be used.

Notice that it is banned in Canada but not in California - see Diane Feinstein's initial list
