MAADI AK....did I get deal?

Last weekend I picked up a good condition MAADI AK Misra S/A (imported by CAI) for $270, the quality was much better than the WASR's selling for $380. Am I correct by assuming that the S/A is all Maddi including the furniture,barrel and receiver minus the US pistol grip and required fire control parts; And because of this I have to change the follower and floor plat to a US made one in order to comply with the number of US made parts? Can anyone shed some light of this for me? Thanks Again

Check the bolt carrier for signs of a gas piston change. If you have a US gas piston, there is no need for mag parts to be used for 922r.

If you don't see signs of a gas piston change, adding one is easy, or you can go the mag parts route (I personally don't do mag parts for 922r because I've got quite a few).

As far as mags, keep the 5 rounder it came with when in the safe (will fit in the safe better anyway) and those other AK mags are for the AK you intend to buy one day.

It was imported by Century,and sold 922r compliant.
Can't say for sure what they changed,but FCG,PG,gas piston
is the normal swap.
Don't worry about it,Shoot it and enjoy a it.
