    Went to my first machine gun shoot on Saturday. WOW! If you have never attended one, you owe it to yourself to find on and go. I never even deamed that I would see some of the weapons much less play with and shoot some of them. I am counting the days until next year.:D :D :D

    So, what was your favourite? :) Also, the guy with the FA shoulder-stocked Glock; was it an 18, or a back-plate conversion?

    It was a Glock 18. There were 4 of them that I counter. I have a sweet spot for the M3 greaseguns, BAR, and MP-5SD. Took several pics of the BAR but it seems that one of my memory cars is bad because the last 20 or pics didn't turn out. There is also something about the way the groung moves when someone fired a .50 belt fed gun.

    The week before yours, I went up to OH ..... similar deal staged near Minerva (NE of state) ........ great time had by all, although it finished earlier than scheduled. I wrote this up on another board but thought I'd reproduce some pics here, to give a ''flavor''.

    I daresay a lot of the same guys were at your one.

    ==================================================

    Shot a fair bit thru L1A1, Mini, AK and Norinco SKS ....... all most pleasurable! If ''slowfire'' compared with some ''items''!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The first car fire ..... only about 10 minutes into first session!
    The ''results'' ............ burned out, and ''perforated'' .. exit side.
    Amazingly, despite 50 cal hits, the tractor never fell off!
    Guy next to me put a LARGE amount of ammo thru this ...... I guess water cooled gives an ''edge''!!
    The fave ''star'' of the show ....... the mini-gun has an unmistakeable signature when fired ...... not to mention the dirt it kicks up.!
    This was I believe a home made cannon ..... and fired cast wheel weight balls ..... rather impressive!
    We didn't have any cannons.:(
    Next year a video camera will be a must. My friend brought one but forgot to charge the battery and it was DOA. I may not be able to afford these weapons but I can sure afford to feed them a few light snacks. :D
    Remember that THR will have a presence at the October Knob Creek event - Planning on camping, etc... last October was a blast, and this one should be even more fun.
