My favorite hunters are this 2 knife "camp set" that Mel Sorg Jr made for me about 20 years ago. Sadly, he died not too long after. Mel and I discussed the intended purpose but the design is his with just some input from me. Our goal was to have 2 blades that would handle every reasonable task in a hunting camp. These take and hold a wonderful edge and have disassembled many deer, antelope, and a few elk.
D2 steel heat treated by Paul Bos, ironwood scales. The larger is a 4.5" semi skinner and the smaller one is for boning and caping. The double sheath is also made by Mel and I have an additional single pouch sheath for the larger one.
