A while ago I ordered a sheet of black Kydex along with some eyelets and a few other supplies from KnifeKits.Com. Finally got around to doing something with the material as I got a new Glock 19. I do not have a fully functional workshop, only basic tools, a toaster oven (don't tell my wife) and a good Dremel. Here is the result. Not beautiful but functional. The 'clamshell' approach only uses 2 rivets which gives the holster a tiny bit of flexibility. Unlike most IWB project I did not go with leather belt loops or a J-hook, but thought I would try a knife belt clip. Actually this works pretty good with the clip going over the pants and the belt through it.

Thanks for your post. That's exactly what I need. I just put a Crimson Trace tac-lite on my G22 and now it won't fit into my leather Gould holster, which I have mounted on my bedrail for a "nite comforter." I have been looking and can't find anything on the market so now I can just make my own. Instead of a metal belt clip, I can mount a bracket to allow me to put it on my bedrail again.

Absolutely! I'm a hoarder of information. Even though I don't have the gun yet, I'll always accept free help for something I hope/plan/want to do in the future. I have made my own leather holster for a 22 pistol, but I think I would prefer kydex for a better draw and less likely to induce corrosion. I'll watch for your message or post on here.

Thanks!
