What a convoluted subject.

I'm getting a SW1911 and a .22 conversion, most likely an Advantage Arms unit. I'm wondering if the magazines from Kimber, Ciener, Marvel and/or Wilson will work interchangeably.

I realize the bore may slightly lower or slightly higher from one maker to another, but I figure it ought to be roughly in the same place and I might get lucky.

Does anyone know which combinations work?

I know Ciener magazines work well with Marvel Unit 1 conversion kits. The Marvel magazines are actually Colt Ace magazines with the slide stop actuation feature removed from the follower. At one time, the Ciener conversion was marketed as both the Kimber and Wilson. I would expect the Wilson magazines to function with any Ciener kit and with the Marvel Unit 1. Now, Kimber makes their own upper, and Ciener is still marketed as the Wilson. I do not know if Kimber designed (or more precisely, paid one of the magazine companies to design) a magazine for their own conversion kit.
