Magazine storage (NOT in safe)

This is a useful thread. I’ve got magazines stored haphazardly in several places and need to come up with something better.

LoL. It certainly can be, then you up and buy a Ruger American in .243 [:)]

I keep threatening to build an AR-10 (in fact, I have pre-purchased 3 magazines to that end... my way of putting the cart before the horse, and eventually forcing my hand...) or an AR in 6.8SPC... so I may carelessly cast simplicity to the wind one day.

I have a 2 door metal cabinet in my storeroom that I store ammo, holsters, magazines and spare parts in. A few magazines live in the safe.

<chuckle> An excellent beginning, IMHO.

Before I owned an M1 Garand or an 03[A3] (or any rifle chambered for .30'06) I purchased multiple cases of excellent Danish M2Ball milsurp from Dan's Ammo loaded in both enblocs or strippers. It wasn't too long before I was relatively awash in M1s, 03[A3]s ... and "Model of 1917"s.

In addition ...

I seized an opportunity to buy a bunch of well-priced NIW USGI M14 mags before I built the first of my two M14 Variants.

I currently have a box of UZI mags and a pair of G/K43 mags awaiting the day ... <sigh>

:)

Same same... I had bought 100 rounds of surplus M80 to make a display belt of M-60 ammos, but realized what a waste of ammo it was. So I went and bought my M1a, to get rid of that ammo. I would have rather bought an M-60... so I didn't have to delink all of it... but, hey, I live in the Now.
