Magazines - Blued vs Nickel

OK, if this is a dumb question... don't laugh too hard.

What is the difference between the blued and nickel magazines?
Is it purely cosmetic or are there other differences that mean more (durablity, longevity, etc)?

Nickel-plated magazines are less prone to surface oxidation.

They won't rust as easily.

Used to make a big differance compared to a blue magazine, especially for CCW, where extra mags get exposed to body sweat every day.

Today, some magazine manufactures are using propriority finishs on blued mags, like Mec-Gar for instance.

It is more a powder coat finish then real bluing, and they are almost totally rust proof.

You can't carry blued magazines in a nickel plated gun, it's just not fashionable!
