Oops. When I sold off some "excess" primers last spring, I let my CCI standards go because I thought I had a bunch of WLP on the shelf. Turns out those were WSP, so I'm low on large standard pistol primers, but I have a lot of CCI large magnum pistol.
I guess if I'm going to load any target rounds with HP-38, they're going to have to be sparked by the magnums. I'll certainly use the starting load for .45 ACP. I use a .44 S&W load for the .43M target ammo anyway.
Anyone care to predict whether the SDs will be better or worse with the hotter primers? Assuming I get my chrono back into action...
