I would like to hear from MOE handguard users about their satisfaction with the product and whether or not they use them with rails. Also, what length gas system? I see pics of them with good reviews but almost never see them with rails and rail accessories attached. I would like to know how well they handle lights and vertical grips.

As always, pics are welcome!

I had a carbine-length set once, and I really liked 'em. They locked up solid, and I ran a Mako grip/bipod on it, no issues. I liked it, but went to a Yankee Hill 12" free float because it just seems much more solid (even though the polymer Magpul didn't leave much to be desired- it was solid, too). I'd say they're fine for a light-weight build, and if you wanna just hang a grip off of it, or maybe a light and a grip. I wouldn't wanna put too much stress on it, even though it's tough. When it comes to handguards, I just prefer the feel of metal.

I have both middie and carbine length versions mounted and in use, and a rifle MOE on order.

I like them very much; they run much cooler than most commercial handguards, protect your hands from the hot gas block on carbine/middie systems, and the mounting rails are solid and robust. If you don't need a free-floated system, the MOE handguards are my first choice.

I have them in carbine length and I like them better than the stock handguards. The only thing I have mounted on it is a Surefire G2 LED in a Vltor mount.

The moe handguards are ok. Not much better than the standard handguards. I see no real advantage to them over standard handguards.

I have a set and love them. I removed my rail handguard and installed the MOE with a single rail. They fit tight, feel good and look great and they are under $30.00.

I have the MOEs on my BCM Middy. For ~$10-15 more than a standard handguard there is just no comparison...get the MOEs.

I have a set on a carbine, they are great!...fit tight and are light weight. I don't use any accessories.

I have a MOE handguard on my Colt AR-15. I also have a Surefire Super Tac light attached to it. I got both of those, the rail, and the clamp for the light from botach tactical. I was just at a carbine class a little over a month ago. There were plenty of people there with lights that cost hundreds of dollars. the Super Tac was BY FAR the brightest light. The entire setup cost $150.00 overnighted to me. The rails from Magpul that go on the MOE are also extremely cheap, but are very good rails. And you can choose different lenghts.

The MOE with that light setup works very well in my opinion. I can't speak for any vertical foregrips as I do not have one attatched to mine.

I have one setup with the MOE handguards and I love it. I will add to another carbine soon. I run 3 MOE butt stocks right now, soon to be 4.
