Anyone ever see any results or had any experience with MagSafe's .25 ACP Defender round out of a Beretta 950/Jetfire?

Good, bad, problems, no problems?

Yes, Their I was with only my Walther TPH .25acp in hand. The 3rd world nation I was in was not friendly to Western outsiders:cuss: . As I walked down the dark dusty path I heard a noise:banghead: . I stopped, went to ready gun, and waited:uhoh: . Soon I heard the steps approach as I slipped to the side of the path. As the inky night passed by I saw a beast that made my hair stand on end. Its fure was brown and black. Its teeth where large and fearsome:eek: . Luckly just before it leaped on top of me I fired a quick snap shot:evil: . It caught the beast just below the left eye:barf: . It dropped onto the ground, took one last breath, and passed into hunting legend:D . I still have its cute bushy tail hanging up in my kitchen:neener: . Those giant third world rabbits need watching:scrutiny: .

Yep. No more cough syrup for you, Kahr. It's clearly gone to your head.

And no, you can't lube the slide rails with NyQuil!

:D

Don't tell the government I sneaked the beast into the country under my left armpit:p . Customs don't allow dead third world beast into the country if they have not had all their shots:scrutiny: .

***? What's all that sh**? :scrutiny:

The MagSafe claims to take off at 1700fps for the .25 and deliver the hit of a .380 hollowpoint, (and I HAVE heard of LEO's using MagSafe in other calibers), I'd just wondered if the increased pressure and lighter weight had any negative effects on the 950/Jetfire's action, since it doesn't really have a traditional extractor.

DON"T These rounds are known for lack of penteration . I would just carry plain old ball and use them all.. 25 ball was going 10" in jell. I remember reading that because I was thinking about Glasers in mine. I decided to stay with the ball.
And before somebody knocks the 25 I was carring one when a guy tried to rob me in a parking garage in 80's. When I drew my 25 Beretta
instead of wallet . He knife didn't look so good and I don't think the Road Runner could have caught him. So it worked and didn't even need to waste a bullet.

Yup, that's why I have it! Deterrent, and can be front-pocket carried with any outfit. Draw instead of a wallet. And good to know about the penetration, thanks! :scrutiny: I'd been looking at these and Speer Gold Dot hollowpoint, which I have, and also just regular Federal ball, which weighs a lot more.

And even though it's small-caliber, nine rounds in quick succession, I think, is enough to effectively say "No."

+1 BALL.My Buddy worked in a parking lot way back and a Beretta 950 BS saved the day for him TWICE! I carried one in a spare cuff case for many years and carry one when decorum dictates loaded with ball to this day.YMMV.tom.;)

Wait a minute- I DID well damn carry one of those loaded with those in turd world countries south of here! If those are the solid bronze lathe turned hollow points(Igot mine in late 80's) they are the best skull penrtrating .25acp ammo ever made with the Win steel bb nose a close second. If they are some new prefragmented thing use ball!
