I bought a 1970's Beretta 950 BS Jetfire .25 ACP and shot it today.
It worked very well but I had light primer strikes whenever I loaded a round directly into the tip up barrel. Each lightly struck round fired after a second blow. When I load a round by pulling back and releasing the slide its perfectly reliable.
Any idea what might be causing this issue? I really like this little gun, it's mostly going to be a range toy but I want it to work.
