I am watching Mail Call on the History Channel. R. Lee Erly is doing a show from the Knob Creek full auto shoot. Pretty cool. They are showing video of the night shoot now. Very cool. He was firing a bunch of different full auto weopons and showing some of the competition stuff. One of the best Mail Call shows I have ever seen by far. :D

I'll have to watch for a replay.

I was surprised when they said there was a long waiting list to get a spot on the firing line. That has got to be a lot of fun. I hate to think what people charge to "rent" time.

That. Was. So. Cool.

It was funny to watch R. Lee Ermey; he looked like a kid in the toy store. I probably would have had less restraint.

Man, I was going to go to bed soon. Now I have to stay up and watch Mail Call.

I went to Knob Creek this past fall. It was pretty fun. I considered renting an MG, but decided against it. For the prices they were charging, I could buy a bunch of ammo, go home and get a similiar feeling bump firing my AK. I've fired enough full-auto that it doesn't really do it enough for me to shell out that kind of money for 30 seconds of fun. About the only things I think I'd actually pay to shoot would be either an MG34, MG42, or the flamethrower.

I've been to Knob Creek several times when I was stationed at Ft. Knox, but I never was able to go to a machine gun shoot. Always had other priorities that made it impossible. :fire:

I missed the show, but I flew out a couple of years ago just for the shoot, and met up with Bogie, Oleg, Betty, and others, also from AW. Great people, good food, Great fun.:D
The shoot was awesome too. The minigun opened up the night shoot with 1000 tracers in line and just hosed down the range.:what:

They should set up a "VIP" box and invite...

...Fineswine, Schumer, Hillary, Boxer, et al.

That would make a fine show just recording their facial expressions during the goings-on!!! :neener:

Hmmm, caught it at 3:00 a.m. this morning, entirely by accident (always leave the set on). Man, what a great time.

Wonder who the guy was that was talking with R. Lee before he went into the Jungle course? I'm wondering if he's a in/famous gun board personality we all know.

That thought crossed my mind, too. If you're here, speak up! ;)
