I have 2 Bulgy Makarovs. When I dry fire one in DA, and to a lesser extent in SA, the muzzle will jump to the right no matter how hard I try to control the squeeze.
My second Mak with a comparable pull stays dead steady , both DA and SA.
It seems as if the hammer on the first one is dropping earlier in the pull than the second one, creating alot of overtravel. Because of this, I was considering selling that one. Since the parts are easily replaceable, does anyone think that if I replace the hammer and sear (or maybe one or the other) I might stumble upon a steadier combination of parts, or should I have a gunsmith install an overtravel screw? Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
