And join ITAR for $2500/year
And did anyone mention INSURANCE?....
Then there is also the 11% tax on ammo besides the others,
local zoning approval, if from your home, getting homeowner's insurance OK, fire marshal OK, powder magazine, security system, fire/explosion suppression system.
After that, now we get to talk about reloading equipment - if you think you can crank out enough on a Dillon to cover costs, think again - you might with 8-10 employees all cranking on them 8-10 hours per day - but now that opens up labor costs, taxes, insurances, social security, unemployment, etc; so maybe you go for one of the automated Camdex machines that cost more than your new pick-up - now you have to amortize that factor into your pricing, advertising, marketing, etc.....and you'll be competing against Missouri Bullet, Montana Gold, and hundreds of others
Once you sit down with an attorney and an accountant and develop your business plan/model and see what ancillary costs are involved - THEN you will be able to determine if it is a good move or not
Good luck
