So while I was at work at about 3am this morning I was watching a re-run of some cop show and they recovered a hi-point used in a crime. The gun was wrapped in electrical tape around the grip. For some reason this made me think, I should build myself a "tacticool" hi-point.

So here is what I am thinking

Red Dot scope

Threaded barrel (do they even sell that for a hi-point)

Some sort of white light or laser (OR BOTH)

Any other ideas?

I know this project would be easier with another cheap gun like a Kel-Tec PF-9 since the hi-point does not have a rail, but I think the effect is even better with a hi-point

I watched the same show. I stayed up because I wanted to see what gun the punk used. Did you think it was funny that he denied it even though they found the guys wallet and the gun where he was staying and then he tried to say it was an accident even though he robbed him and stood over him and shot him in the neck..... WOW.

Your idea however........ a waste of time.

I saw a cop show a few months ago. They busted a female drug dealer and she had a hi-point 995 carbine in the apartment. The cop held it up for the camera and said, "well, at least that's another assault weapon off the streets." :D

^LOL

The cop/law shows give me high blood pressure, and mine is 110/70. Its obvious what the target audience is...

Seriously, I just went to the NRA convention that Hi-Point was at, and they really are coming out with some cool looking stuff. They have new models of pistols coming out that don't look so fugly, and their carbines look a bit more solid than they used to be.
