Both Prozac and Ritallin affects some kids in a manner that causes then to behave badly.
It's not so much those two I worry about, but the powerful antidepressants and psychotropics prescribed to kids who are "diagnosed" with Bipolar, schizophrenia and other such mental disorders. Problem is, there really isn't much in the way of medical tests to diagnose such conditions, and the wrong drug being prescribed can have catastrophic ramifications.
Our society is so overmedicated it makes me sick. People are taking half a dozen drugs to treat conditions that have only "existed" for a couple of decades, and then taking myriad other medications to offset the negative side effects of the treatment pharmaceuticals.
I don't see doping people up as much of an improvement over the horrific procedures of a century ago. It's still altering or limiting brain function, just with chemicals instead of a drill bit.
