Interesting case.

The lower courts said that the man wasn't injured by the FBI but rather rather gun dealer who no longer wanted to sell to him after being pressured by by FBI not to sell to him.

That seems to be a lousy argument since no gun dealer wants to sell to someone that the FBI basically said they shouldn't sell to and then some tragedy happens.

The case, Turaani v. Wray, court file 21-72, was docketed July 20. FBI Director Christopher Wray is one of three respondents; the others are Charles H. Kable IV, director of the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center, and an individual FBI agent.

got a name, case number, or reference? Other wise, with a paywall, this is driveby?

A man of Middle Eastern origin twice denied firearms purchases by the federal government’s background check system is asking the Supreme Court to hear his appeal.
Looks like a clear case of racism. Just ask woke police.

This will be a complicated case.
Especially since this is not the first time the Turaani has sued the FBI, and on similar grounds.
On it's face, it does appear that the feebs may have used their powers of coercion to influence the actions of an FFL.

And, there's nothing in my reading of 18 USC 922's definitions of Prohibited persons that would include "keeping bad company" as a definition.
My opinion on such things is scarcely worth 2¢ sadly.

I don't see SCOTUS accepting this case.

SCOTUS tends to accept cases on very narrow grounds, or at least issue a very narrow ruling.

Complicated cases don't seem to be what they want, unfortunately..
