I'm willing to bet $$$ that he and his worker buddies were screwing around with said nailgun and not practicing the four rules.

Nail gun accident. That is how my band got to be opener for Rick Derringer several years ago. The bass player of the scheduled opening band nailed his foot. Then we were called in to fill the slot.

All different angles of entry, all over the back and sides of his head. Really, it was an accident. No, we weren't playing with the nailgun. I SWEAR we didn't have the manual (pressure) safety taped/wired/tied back so it would go bang as quick as possible.
