Maybe they are being responsible so as to not reveal the LE efforts to find the guy...

I saw pics of cops with AR or M-16 rifles earlier so I assume he could be wearing armor unless standard procedure is to bring out the big guns if the bad guy has a gun. Hope they get him.
 
This is why you carry everywhere. Looks like the car was ditched at a Target.

FWTW right when the story broke on fox I was getting out of the shower and heard them say AK-47 Automatic Rifle, er, ah, we do not, er ah, it could be semi automatic...
 
I'm hearing he had body armor and purchased 3 AK clones. The police pulled him over in traffic and he exited firing. 1 officer killed 1 critical and 2 unknown.
 
Now I hear they surrounded a car and he was not the man in it, that it was another man that was not him. Possibly a relative.
 
Press conference on MSNBC. They have not caught him as of yet. They got a CAR in custody now.
 
News Update: They have a car and two people in custody, but neither of them are Labeet and in 2002 he was arrested for aggravated assault
 
They had the wrong picture up of the murder suspect.

The picture that was up earlier on the news is of someone else.

Supposedly someone gave them the wrong information and incorrectly identified his picture, they think on purpose. On Fox News though they haven't said anything about a capture of the actual murder suspect, where did you hear that?

If you're expecting a gun fight you should bring a long gun. And a friend with a long gun.

Pistols are used when somebody decides they'd like to pick a gun fight with you but didn't give you proper notice.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that it's not even a Kalashnikov pattern rifle that the guy used. News agencies are horrible when it comes to weapons identification.
 
Option 1 is to take Kevin in alive.

since it now appears kevin is not involved, perhaps it is a good idea you are not in charge of the police involved in this case.
 
Ok, Labeet is NOT IN CUSTODY. The man in the car was thought to be him but wasn't, could have been a brother of Labeet. He is still on the loose.
 
Points of press conference: wanted for aggravated assault currently, wanted in 2001 for trespass and disorderly, 25 years old, assault weapon, car recovered, people in car possibly related to him and armed and dangerous
