Marine sniper goes the distance

How high power of a scope are they using to be able to see something clear enough a mile away to shoot it?

Exactly what I was wondering. Anyone know what power scopes they're using and who makes them? I know in the Hathcock book many of the guys used the Unertl scopes on both their rifle and the Ma Deuce.

The bright side of the two guys living and getting away is that now they'll go back and tell the others that the americans have special scopes that see through brick walls. I've heard other stories of how they think our tanks have a special electrical field around them that repels RPGs (guess they don't understand armor) and they've found RPG rockets with electrical tape on the end that was supposed to defeat the electrical field. Those wacky insurgents...

re: insurgents -
It is the will of Allah that evil-doers be smote with righteous fire.

Aieeeee! May the fleas of a thousand desert camels infest the crotch of their consorts, and so unto them all.

God bless the U.s Marines! May their Scouts have the eyes of an eagle (bald, of course), the steadiness of granite (NH granite, of course), the judgment of Solomon and the patience of Joab.
