Is anyone here using this mount? I am curious as to what the sight picture looks like with an Eotech holosight mounted on it. Do you have to adjust your cheek weld when using one or the other?

As I understand it, the mount allows you to use the irons looking through the holosight. But, do you have to look through the rear iron sight in order to use the red dot?

I hope this makes sense. :)

Wow, that's a little pricy. For that kind of money you can get an A.R.M.S. #38 with a flip up sight.

From what I understand though, the Eotech sits too high to cowitness(ie. be able to sight through all three sights at the same time) when sitting on top of one of those raised rails like that. What you need to do is mount the Eotech right on your flattop and get either an A.R.M.S. #40A, and LMT BUIS or other similar backup sight to mount to your flattop behind it.

Eotech on Mark Brown CBQ-A3

First, this is an old old thread but to my point ...

Not sure but, I'm thinking that the mount pictured may be different than my Mark Brown Custom ... I would like to mount an Eotech on this riser but some documents say that the Eotech is "to tall". Why would I want to co-witness anyway? Is the suggested solution correct? Just mount the Eotech on the bare flat-top and install a flip up back sight?
