Years ago, I apparently bought some old 44-40 Winchester items. I don't fully remember the sale. Anyway, today I was attempting to organize my cleaning supplies when I came across a wooden box that had been there for quite a while. Inside, I found an old Lyman 310 (?) tool in perfect condition along with an original box of Lyman dies in 44-40, almost brand new. There was also a Herter's reloading tray, and a full box of 210 gr, LFN bullets. The original box was from the Markel Company, with no address.
Has anyone ever heard of Markel? These "finds" have sparked my interest in what era these items might have come from.
