Marlin 1894 questions

Mine is an 1894S (what the S designates, I dunno).

I've seen parts listed for the 1894, the 1894P, the 1895, etc. Are any of these interchangeable (I'm looking for the lever loop, in particular)?

I think the 'S' designation was started when they put the crossbolt 'S'afety on this model.

The "S" is for the 44 mag model just as the "C" is for the 357 model.
