Anyone besides me find the lever on the Marlin 1894 series difficult to work? In short, I find getting my hand in the lever pretty tight and uncomfortable. (My hands are average size to slightly large) Gloved hands, like when I'm hunting are really rough.
I have been searching the web for a larger loop replacement with limited success. The only one I've found was very expensive and required a gunsmith to fit it to the rifle.
In any event am I alone in this desire for a loop lever for the 1894, or do others of you have the same issue? Maybe not as big as the one Winchester offers, but slightly larger and more oval. Really appreciate any input and insights you may have.
Thanks in Advance for the responses.

I had the same problem. I switched to fingerless gloves that have a mitten-type arrangement that folds over your fingers and folds back (held by velcro) when you need dexterity. Not the only solution, I'm sure, but it works for me.
