Just got one of these in 44Mag, and the trigger moves back and forth 1/4 inch. Is this normal? This is my first lever rifle, and i've never encountered a rifle or a handgun with such loose/big trigger play. :uhoh:

Anybody else has one of these? likes/dislikes/range tests/experiences/etc...
love the looks of this rifle, and personally i really like the williams sights... can't wait to shoot it.....
thnx.

The Marlin is a fun gun to shoot
Good advice I received and now pass on to you:
Don't baby the action or you will get malfunctions
Slam it open and shut
Have fun!

I have the 1894SS-LTD in .44mag and .357. I also have five other Marlin lever actions. They all have that same trigger flop. I've order the WWB trigger for my to LTD's. I've heard they're the best for the money.
