I think the title says it all. I went to the range today, chambered a round, pulled the trigger and the hammer drops fine but no primer strikes on the cartridge. Broken firing pin? What do I need to do to get this thing fixed? It's a 1950 in 35 remington.

Thanks.

I can't get the damn pins out, guess they haven't been out in 60 years. I'll try tomorrow with the right tools.

Yeah, I had to buy a set of punches to get the one that I needed. I brought my bolt into Lowes and matched up the one that fit perfectly, but it was in a pack with three others.

Busted my firing pin in my M1894 with too much dry firing. Ordered a new pin from Marlin and installed the thing.

I prefer the later marlins with the hammer block. You can dry fire all day and the hammer does not hit the firing pin.

The firing pin in my 336 broke about the second time that I dry fired it. Bit of a pain to replace, too.

I think mine broke from a few dry fires as well. I just bought a front and rear firing pin off Midway, along with a new firing pin spring and 2 of those damn pins that I'm having a HELL of a time getting out. I'm taking it to a buddy of mine who has a machine shop tomorrow to get them out. haha
