My Marlin 70PSS Papoose developed a problem the last time I took it out. It failed to fire - no mark at all on the primer. This was not just a one time deal, but most of the magazine. It was getting dark and I didn't do anything. Any ideas are appreciated. Jim

Clean it and look for something obstructing the free travel of the firing pin and/or hammer?

Sorry, can't troubleshoot better unless it is on the bench in front of me, I do have a 70PT manufactured at the end of Marlin's independent run (before Remlin or Marlington) that I could compare to if you think you've found a smoking gun.
