It is a reasonably accurate "working truck" rifle. I keep on down at the ranch for varmints. It usually shoots about 1.5" at 100 yards which is more than adequate.
Leopold makes some nice 1" scope rings that will mount in the dovetail if it is not drilled and tapped.
Mine is pretty old and on it, the safety is opposite of most of my other rifles: SAFE position is forward and FIRE position is back. It hasn't gotten me into trouble, but I do have to remind myself when ever I take it out.
