Looking to buy a .22 mag marlin 783 in good condition. Its $150.
Does anyone have info on it?

It is a reasonably accurate "working truck" rifle. I keep on down at the ranch for varmints. It usually shoots about 1.5" at 100 yards which is more than adequate.

Leopold makes some nice 1" scope rings that will mount in the dovetail if it is not drilled and tapped.

Mine is pretty old and on it, the safety is opposite of most of my other rifles: SAFE position is forward and FIRE position is back. It hasn't gotten me into trouble, but I do have to remind myself when ever I take it out.

Sounds pretty good. I jus plan on using it as a varmit and range rifle at about 100yards.

That's a good price. Most of those rifles are good shooters. And it's an old Marlin-get them while you can....
