I've gotta ask - did you check to be sure there is no cartridge in the chamber ? If you can't see the mouth of the chamber because of the bolt being stuck forward, you can carefully insert a cleaning rod from the muzzle and see where it bottoms out.
Once confirmed that there is no live round in the chamber. Before scraping the rifle, I would use a flat headed screwdriver to pry the bolt back away from the chamber.
